A feed you can understand
Browse the whole community, just accounts you follow, or your Circles. Home feeds use newest-first ordering; conversation replies are oldest first. Save your preferred Home view, choose whether followed reposts appear, and switch sample content off. There are no promoted placements in this release.
Thoughts with room to grow
Publish up to 500 Unicode characters, attach up to four images, add hashtags and mentions, or ask a question with a two-to-four-option poll. Images retain their whole composition, with an arrow-key and swipe gallery. Follow connected parent replies and expand branches in oldest-first order. Choose Repost with a thought from the repost button, like, privately bookmark, and share a link. Authors can edit or delete their posts. An edited label keeps that change visible.
Circles, without a maze
Create a Circle with a unique address and a clear description. Discover and join existing Circles, then post and reply there. Circle conversations are visible to signed-in members; Circles are not private groups.
Search and discover
Search post text and profiles, including prefix searches and Indian language text. Search an exact hashtag to find that conversation. Browse the people and organization directory in alphabetical pages. Weekly topics show contributor and post counts from real members only.
Personal, one-to-one conversations
Start from New message or a member’s profile. Send text messages, see confirmed send status and visible-message read receipts, retry unconfirmed sends without duplicates, remove your sent messages for both participants, and load earlier history. Accept messages from everyone or only people you follow. Sample profiles cannot receive messages. Messages are access-controlled for participants but are not end-to-end encrypted.
Comfort and control
Use light, pure-black AMOLED, or system appearance. Install the PWA on supported devices. Written post drafts stay on your device; posting and messaging need a connection. Mute, block, report, export your data, and delete your member account from Settings.
Changes without a manual refresh
A live connection signals changes while your tab is visible. The app then fetches the latest state under your account permissions. When live delivery is interrupted, feeds check every 12 seconds and open messages every two seconds, with longer retry intervals after connection errors. New posts wait behind a banner while you are reading further down. Hidden tabs pause live delivery.
